Good morning friends and family of HealthKitchen! Its Friday and a great day to grab the ingredients for these healthy whole grain, low sugar scones. We have created a recipe that has a gluten and dairy free option. If you don't think you'll be able to eat all 12 servings, freeze a few of them for another day. HealthKitchen hopes that you had a healthy holiday season.

The holidays are here! As we all know this is the time of year for holiday work events, ugly sweater parties, and family get-togethers; the perfect storm for over indulgences. Since we can't avoid work, friends, and family it is important to find a healthy way to stay on track with our eating and other health behaviors. Here are a few tips to avoid overeating and drinking at all of your extracurriculars. Wishing you a healthy holiday season, Mimi Johnson Founder of HealthKitchen
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It provides sustained energy and helps to prevent overeating when you get home from a long day at the office. On a Sunday morning gather your ingredients and make your Baked Pumpkin Oatmeal. Each serving can be individually stored in the fridge until you're ready to eat it. Pop your oatmeal in the microwave and you have a warm breakfast ready for you in minutes. I hope you enjoy this recipe and share it with your friends looking for healthy breakfast ideas.
Onward, HealthKitchen
